Catalog
Before you begin your
search
ArvinMeritor’s XpresswayPlus.com
streamlines your search for specific components or assemblies. The main screen of the catalog lets you
begin a parts search based on the information you already have. Several types of searches are possible. The different types are all accessible by
clicking on the various buttons along the header of the page.
Visual Search
This visually
based part of the catalog allows you to search for products or specific product
lines. This tool is very useful when
you cannot identify which Class/Type/Line you should be using to search, and it
is so simple to use. Click on Visual
Search.
The first screen that displays will be the ghost truck. This truck shows all of the major components
covered by the catalog. All you have to
do is click on the component you want.
Click on any one of the drive axle wheel ends.

Now you have to
choose what particular component of the brake you are looking for. In this case we will look at brake
components, so click on the picture of the brake components.

This screen
shows the different types of brakes.
Just by clicking on various pictures you are narrowing down the number
of possible parts available. Click on “P” SERIES on the upper right hand side of the page.

Now click on
the return spring in the center of the page.

This closes the
visual search and displays the “most popular” part based upon the component you
have selected.
General Search
The search
option lets you set up a search based on general information about the parts or
component. Wild card search can be used
when you do not have a whole part number by using “_” for a single missing
character or “%” for a string of characters.
Click New Search.
Type A-3222-S-1293 in the general
part number field, click search. This field is not case sensitive and spaces
and dashes are OK to enter into this field, the program will remove them.

General Search Results
One result is found in this search. The
results screen should look like this.

Part Detail
From the
results screen, click the box next to the part number. This selects the part and moves it to the
field in the upper left hand corner of the screen. Click Detail. This screen shows information about the
part.

Images
From the Part
Detail screen, click on Images. This will open a separate window in your
browser and show any images associated with the part. Close this new window after you have looked at the image. Click New Search. This will take you back to
the main catalog screen and clear out all fields.

Bill of Material
Bill of
Material, or BOM, is used to show all the components that make an assembly or
kit. Type KIT9000 into the general part number field.
Click Search.
Click the box next to the part number.

BOM
Results
Click on BOM. This screen displays the BOM
for the kit. You can click on the box
next to any of the part numbers and get part details for each individual component.

Aftermarket Where Used Results
From the BOM
screen, click on the box next to 1259-J-218, then click on Where Used under the After Market heading.
The screen will then display a list of every kit or component that the
1259-J-218 is used in. Once again, you
could bring up BOM, Image, Part detail, or Where Used information for any part
on the screen by clicking on the box next to the part number and then by
clicking on the appropriate button at the top of the screen.

Customer Part Number Results
Click New Search. Type 2D3061 into the Customer Part Field. Click Search. This displays the Meritor
branded part number for that part.

Tech Info Search
The Tech Info
Search lets you search based on characteristics or requirements, which describe
a component. For example, you can
search for all 16 ½” brakes. The Tech
Info Search can also be used with the General Search. This is especially useful when you have a partial part
number. You can search based upon the
partial number and dimensional information.
Click New Search.
On the main screen, use the drop down boxes at the bottom of the screen
and fill in the following information: Class = Brake, Type = drums, Line
= brake drums.
Click on the button labeled Click To View Qualifiers.

Tech Info
Qualifiers
The qualifiers
screen has data choices based upon the Class/Type/Line that you just
selected. To choose the qualifiers
information, click the box in the column marked Change. This will cause a drop down box to display
in the value column for that item.
Choose the following values: Brake Width = 6 in., Drum Type =
R, Bolt Circle = 12.75.
Once the values have been selected click Search.

Multi Search/Compare
Based upon the
results from the last search, we narrowed our search to two possible
parts. To further evaluate the two
remaining components, we need to compare the parts. To do this, click the icon labeled + All to Multi. This icon will only display
when the parts listed on the screen have identical Item Type and Line, meaning
they are similar parts. If this button
was not there, you could add each component individually by clicking the Multi
Search button.

Add All to
Multi Search
This is the
screen that displays after hitting the + All to Multi. From here you can perform a
“where used” search on the parts, compare similar parts, or add more parts to
the multi search by typing them into the field on the left hand side.

Compare Results
Click on Compare. This will take you to a
screen that has the components detail displayed in such a way that it can be
quickly compared and see what differences there are between the parts.

Application Search
Click New Search. The application search begins
with information you know about where the product is used, for instance, the
vehicle make, model and year. XpresswayPlus.com
will display part numbers that meet those requirements. From the main screen, click on Application. This displays the application
screen. Use the drop down boxes to fill
in the following information. Choose C.V. Shaft
Applications, DODGE TRUCK, W-1 PICK-UP – 1/2 TON, 1975 and 1982.

Production Search
The production
search is used to search the BOM for production assemblies. To perform a production search first click
on New Search, then click on Production Assemblies from the main screen. Type FF981LX5 into the part field. Wild
cards can still be used on this side of the catalog. Click search.

Click the part number underlined in blue.

Production
BOM
This displays
the Production Assembly BOM for the part.
You can click on any one of the components and then perform a production
assembly Where Used or look at RUCS data for that part.

RUCS
Results
Click on RUCS. Rucs is a word drawing that
describes the part in question.

Dual Branded Parts Results
Some components
in the catalog are dual branded. If the
customer is set up to order either brand, then they will have to select which
brand they want to order the part under.
Click New Search, then type TN4671QR1250 into the general part number field.
Click search.
The result screen displays the part.
On the right hand side, it has a brand column that shows this part is
both a Meritor brand and a Euclid brand.
